Located off Brook Road, the Mink Brook Nature Preserve is a protected habitat for wildlife. It also offers a natural retreat that is within walking distance to downtown Hanover. This 112-acre preserve is home to five different trails ranging from easy to moderate. These trails are all foot travel only to protect the area and the wildlife. At the Brook Road trailhead, there is an information kiosk. All trails are marked with signs at the trailheads and junctions and also with blazes.
Quinn Trail – 0.4 miles from Brook Road to Tanzi Tract and then to Route 120. This trail is marked as easy, with two steep sections.
Wheelock Trail – 1 mile from Route 10 to Buck Road. This trail is narrow and rocky in some places. It is blazed in blue.
Trout Brook Trail – 0.4 miles. This trail is marked as easy to moderate. It follows along the Trout Brook and connects to trails leading to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Indian Ridge, and Boston Lot Lake in Lebanon. It is blazed in orange.
Sachem Connector Trail – 0.2 miles. This trail is marked as easy and connects to Sachem Village in Lebanon. It is blazed in red.
Mink Link – This path is easy and connects the Trout Brook Trail and the Sachem Connector Trail.
