Pitcher Mountain Trail is a 0.6 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Stoddard, New Hampshire that features beautiful wildflowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on a leash.
Located in the midst of the Andorra Forest in southwestern New Hampshire, this little mountain is a great little spot for a family afternoon hike. The panoramic vista from Pitcher’s peak is one of the best you will find in New Hampshire. Reaching the top of the Pitcher Mountain Trail, you can take in the incredible views of the Green Mountains, Mt. Monadnock, and on rare occasions, a glimpse of the White Mountains–Mt. Washington and Mt. Lafayette. The large 25′ Fire Tower greets hikers. Your kids will love climbing the Fire Tower to get the best 360-degree view.
Not only that, the wild berries patches that cover the top are a nice surprise.
Pitcher Mountain Trail is an easy to moderate 15-minute hike along the white-blazed trail from a parking lot located on Rt. 123 in Stoddard, NH. The hike has a subtle incline that can easily be traveled by all in the family.
